Melania Trump just delivered a speech against bullying. Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, and Brett Erlich, the hosts of The Young Turks, tell you everyone’s reaction to Melania’s anti-bullying speech. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

“The irony of Melania Trump’s anti-bullying speech at the United Nations on Wednesday was not lost on Twitter users.

The first lady told world leaders’ spouses that their focus must shift to what children are exposed to “on a daily basis through social media, the bullying, the experience online and in person.” But her well-intentioned address came just three days after her husband, renowned cyberbully President Donald Trump, had retweeted a meme that showed him hitting a golf ball which ended up striking Hillary Clinton:

Some tweeters suggested that Melania Trump might want to bring up the issue of online bullying with her husband while others asked if there was a presidential exemption.

Here’s a sampling of responses:”

The more I thought about Cenk's response to Melania by saying "sad day for you", the more angry I got. Has he ever had this response to all of the people he defends on his show who he also does not know personally? For example – Cenk is the first to defend undocumented people, even though they come here illegally – I have never heard from his mouth "sad day for you" when they are being deported, even though they knew that they were entering the US illegally. I actually agree with Cenk when it comes to defending undocumented workers – because they are here to protect themselves from a bad situation – I EMPATHIZE with them. The thing is, I try to empathize with all people – I do not cherry-pick to fulfill some sort of narrative. Trump was probably very charming at first in their relationship – most people are. It could have been that he did not start showing his true colors until she married him – and believe me – bullies can also be relentless stalkers and tormentors. Who knows – maybe Trump has threatened her if she tries leaving. I would be afraid of a guy with unlimited resources. Plus, she has a child with him. Perhaps he has threatened to take her son away from her or to have her deported.
The point I am making is that there is no way we can know what the circumstances are. I can say, however, that Melania certainly does not seem happy in that relationship just by observing the way they interact in public. Just imagine how it must be at home! Also, Cenk comes off as being utterly biased when he can be so blatantly judgmental when it comes to Melania, yet so uber defensive of others who well may not deserve it. Just sayin'…this is in part why I watch the Young Turks less and less and turn to Jimmy Dore, Kyle Kulinski the Real News Network and Redacted Tonight more and more.
